I am a magna cum laude graduate from Evangelical Theological Seminary where I earned my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in PA, hold a designation as Specialist in Problematic Sexual Behavior from the Society for Advancement of Sexual Health, and Certified Complex Trauma Professional Level II , certified to treat complex PTSD, from the International Association of Trauma Professionals.

Prior to entering the mental health field, I was a career police officer with the City of Lancaster, PA. I retired in 2001 after 27 years of service.  During the latter part of my career, I was trained in critical incident stress management and have over 20 years experience working in the trauma field.  I served as a volunteer peer debriefer for the NYPD at "ground zero" shortly after the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center.  I also served in a similar capacity at the Nickel Mines Amish School House shooting.

I interned at Oasis Counseling in 2009 where I began working primarily with sexually compulsive clients and their partners.  I purchased the practice in 2012 and have dedicated my practice to the treatment of sexual addiction and trauma.

I am a Clinical Fellow with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy , a Specialist member with the Society for Advancement of Sexual Health, and member of the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
